Steady Bites, Calm Conditions, and Prime Inshore Action
Chokoloskee Bay - Collier, FL
Inshore fishing around Chokoloskee has been solid, with consistent action in the backcountry and along the mangrove edges. Anglers are seeing good numbers of snook, redfish, and speckled sea trout, especially during the early morning and late afternoon tides.
Live bait—particularly pilchards and shrimp—has been producing steady bites near oyster bars and grassy flats. For those using artificial lures, soft plastics and twitch baits in natural colors are working well, especially around moving water.
Snook are stacking up near mangrove points, and redfish are cruising the flats in small schools. Sea trout are holding in slightly deeper channels and sandy potholes, providing a great opportunity for light tackle action.
Water clarity has been favorable thanks to stable weather, and the winds have remained light, allowing for smooth runs and plenty of access to key inshore zones.
This is a great time to get out on the water and enjoy what Chokoloskee inshore fishing has to offer. Whether you're targeting a bucket list species or just looking for a relaxed day casting lines, the bite is steady and the conditions are right.
